Co-Founders Michelle May and Payal Thiffault have been fortunate to have planned and curated many visual art exhibitions in our 15 years of involvement in the arts. We also have experience in the trade show space. Over the years, we have worked with thousands of artists globally. We pride ourselves on have a keen eye and an intuitive sense of forecasting trends, which contributed to building brands in the luxury paper and wedding industries. We have worked with prestigious companies, enabling us to forge pathways for many small creative businesses through collaborations and partnership projects in many industries like travel, tech, hospitality, casinos, fashion and home goods. Our background in design, marketing and event management was a perfect launching pad to do what we love, promoting artists and working with stakeholders in the cultural sector.

Juniper Rag hosts and collaborates in over 10 exhibitions a year. Relationships mean everything and we proudly have worked with Hopkinton Center for the Arts, New Art Newton, CUSP Gallery, The White Room, Artist on Fire at Krikorian Gallery, Fountain Street Gallery and solo shows at the historically recognized Mechanics Hall in Worcester, Massachusetts. We have also juried the annual The Fay Chandler Exhibition at the Mayor's Gallery at The Mayor’s Gallery in Boston, and have several virtual exhibitions with guest curators like Tam Gryn, Lauren Szumita, Marie Craig, Curtis Speer, Luis Fraire and more to come this year.

We believe that curation is a complex exercise of creativity in itself, a delicate process of organization that requires an innate understanding of artistic skill, color choices, composition, process, materials and selecting work on merit that falls within the story to be told. The task of curating with a unique lens adds an unparalleled layer of depth and connection to the collection, bringing forth the aspect of capturing the story within selections, revealing the relationship between the art and the curator’s instinct.
