JANUARY 2025

CALL FOR ART: OPENS DEC 30, 2024

DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 16, 2025

ART: PAYAL THIFFAULT

An open call, with a general scope—broad enough to encourage creativity while asking for a collective exploration of what unites us.

We invite artists to explore shared experiences, connections, and the intersection of diverse perspectives. It can be framed in a way that resonates with universal and collective truths, while leaving ample room for personal and cultural interpretation. Submit work, that reflects how you uniquely fit into the whole. Explore how your art speaks to the world and why you make artwork. We hope to really get artists thinking about their missions. Art unifies us all and keeps our record of humanity. What role does your artwork play a part?

We live in a world of contrasts—unique identities, varied beliefs, and diverse landscapes—yet we share more than we may initially see. "Common Ground" seeks to explore the spaces where our lives intersect, where mutual understanding thrives, and where art serves as a bridge between differences.

This theme invites artists to reflect on:

  • The universal aspects of human existence—love, resilience, curiosity, and loss.

  • Shared spaces, whether physical, emotional, or metaphorical, where people from different walks of life connect.

  • The role of art as a unifying force, capable of fostering dialogue and empathy.

We encourage submissions in all mediums, from painting and sculpture to digital art, photography, and performance pieces. Whether your work highlights moments of harmony, contrasts that spark connection, or a vision for unity in a fragmented world, we want to see it.

Let’s find "Common Ground" together—through the transformative power of art.

Accepted work:

All mediums welcome.

We extend an invitation to artists across all mediums of 2D, 3D work. International artists, photographers, sculptors, textile artists, all media, including video. Emerging artists as well as college students are encouraged to submit. Our goal is to present a dynamic diversity of perspectives and artwork from all ages, races and differences that make us beautifully human.

This is a virtual exhibition— videographers (under 3 min, a longer version can be linked) are encouraged to submit to this call.
