Katherine Mary is an artist living and working in the greater Boston area.
Katherine’s art is foremost about an aesthetic agenda followed by an obsession with control, as it applies to both the physical creation of the work itself as well as broader socio-political issues.
Recurrent themes, shapes and colors transpire across abstract paintings, drawings and collage. These works are an outlet for, and meditation on, theories and experiences of control in a world where individual autonomy has become abstract itself.
